As someone who didn’t grow up athletic, I entered the fitness world later than the average trainer. I fell in love with strength training because the stronger I got, the more I believed in myself. The more I believed in myself, the more capable I became. I began achieving fitness goals I previously thought were out of my reach. The turning point came after I did my first pull-up, having been told my entire life that “girls like me” couldn’t do pull-ups. I knew then I wanted to make fitness my life.

The principles of functional fitness continue to teach me countless lessons in perseverance. They have helped me achieve fitness goals as well as my Ph.D. They are also what sparked my desire to open Fury Functional Fitness. I love watching clients do something they never thought possible and seeing their confidence shift into a higher gear. There is something so rewarding about witnessing people become stronger and more mobile. It thrills me beyond measure that I get to wake up every day and help people become the healthiest versions of themselves.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University and have worked as a personal trainer for seven years. Because of that, I understand what the body can do, and it’s far more than most people believe possible. I fell into fitness over 10 years ago and it immediately filled a void in my life. Through channeling my energy, my drive, and my overall stress into working out, I discovered I could better myself physically and mentally. I believe everyone is capable of doing the same, especially with a strong support system in place. Fury Functional Fitness exists to be that support system for those looking to lose weight, gain muscle, and improve their strength. I’m so happy to be in a position to help shape people’s lives by sharing my experience and knowledge and guiding and motivating them in just the right way. Seeing my clients happy and healthy is my greatest reward. It’s definitely a job where I get back so much more than I could ever dream of.

In my early 20s, I was overweight and after 6 months of late night running alongside a healthier diet, I lost about 65lbs. In January 2007, at a reasonable weight, I began my journey in functional fitness. Alex A., a few of our friends, and I would work out at the park where we taught ourselves the basics of conditioning and strength training. The intense satisfaction of seeing what new skills and strengths I could develop in my own body was addictive—I was obsessed. Five years later, in 2011, I received my kettlebell certification and started coaching. I’ve since turned my passion into a career, where I can do what I love—helping others discover the fun and the benefits of training.

After learning how to lift kettlebells in 2011, Brittany holds multiple Master of Sport titles and a number of World and National records. She is a two-time member of Team USA and has traveled to Russia and Europe to compete against the best lifters in the world. Brittany has trained three students to Candidate for Master of Sport (CMS) and one student to Master of Sport (MS), and has taught workshops all over the world.

In addition to competing in Kettlebell Sport at the professional level, Brittany has expanded her repertoire to include expertise in hand balancing, gymnastics strength training, and mobility. One of her hobbies is taking pictures of herself doing a handstand wherever she travels! Brittany has experience teaching ring training, handstands, mobility, boot camp, Spinning, Kettlebell Sport, kettlebell hardstyle, powerlifting, and classes for kids and teens. She has over five years of experience in Track & Field, as an athlete and coach for sprints and hurdles. Her personal fitness experience includes years of horseback riding, long-distance running (cross country, 10k, half marathon), snowboarding, and powerlifting. Brittany finds great inspiration in helping people discover the positive impacts—both physical and mental—of having a healthy body.

Brittany (also known as “KB Fit Britt”) is an online coach and maintains a website where she posts weekly kettlebell workouts, Kettlebell Sport information, interviews with kettlebell athletes and coaches, World and National Record lists, and more.

I went to my first certification in 2006. I started using what I learned right out of high school and helped open the first CrossFit gym in my hometown, CrossFit Tulare. Since then I have helped many people create a better lifestyle for themselves, and have continued my growth as a trainer. My certifications vary from CrossFit level 1 and 2 to specific certifications in nutrition, weightlifting, powerlifting, kettlebells, and gymnastics.


Whether it is personal training, running the PT for the Fire Academy, strength and conditioning for training MMA fighters, or running Fitness classes, I'm passionate about coaching and giving clients the necessary tools to feel and live better.
